  • When Arriving By Cruise Ship, At What Time Are Clients Collected At The Cruise Terminal & How Will
    Clients are met approximately 45-60 minutes after arrival into port, at the terminal entrance/exit gate for their arriving ship and will be identified by an Islandlife Watersports sign with their name on it
  • Do You Provide Transportation?
    YES, we pick up at all hotels or condos on Seven Mile Beach as well as cruise ship passengers.
  • What If I Have My Own Transportation and Want To Drive - Can I Meet at The Dock?
    YES, our tours leave out of the Cayman Islands Yacht Club, which is just a 5-10 minute drive from downtown George Town and Seven Mile Beach hotels. Just let us know if you prefer to drive and we will provide directions with your booking confirmation.
  • Do You Provide Transportation From East End or Rum Point?
    NO, if you are staying on island, but NOT on Seven Mile Beach, you will need to meet us at our dock located in Cayman Island Yacht Club or we can arrange to pick you up from the Kaibo Beach Dock for a small additional charge. Just advise us when making your reservation.
  • Do We Have To Pay Extra For Transportation?
    NO, unless you booked a private charter and is staying at Rum Point or East End area, all prices include transportation to and from Seven Mile Beach or downtown George Town.
  • Is My Tour Cancelled If My Cruise Ship Is Late or Comes To Cayman On a Different Day?

  • How Far In Advance Do I Have To Book?
    We require 24 hours advance to book and confirm your reservation. You can call ANYTIME to see if there is space available. We recommend you book EARLY for busy season (Christmas season/New Years and Spring Break).
  • Will I Be Charged if My Cruise Ship Cannot Stop At Grand Cayman?
    NO, you will not be charged for ship cancellation, bad weather causing tour cancellation, or equipment failure.
  • What is Your Cancellation Policy?
    You must cancel 48 hours in advance to incur no charges. If you do not meet the 48 hour deadline you will be asked to pay 50% of your total booking. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to tour or NO SHOWS will be requested to be paid in full.
  • When Do I Pay For The Tour?
    We collect payment in FULL on completion of the tour. We prefer payment in cash however Visa, MasterCard, Discover cards or traveler's cheques are also accepted.
  • Do I Need To Pay a Deposit?
    NO, nothing is charged until we collect payment in full, which is done the day of your tour. By not taking deposits, it allows an easy cancellation process if the tour is to be canceled due to inclement weather or if the client request to do so.
  • What should I NOT do when in the water with the rays?
    1) When interacting, do not hop or skip left/right or backward trying to avoid the stingrays. SCENARIO: You could strike your feet or legs against the stinger of the stingrays. KEEP your feet on the bottom as much as possible. The stingrays will NOT sting you on purpose. 2) When snorkeling or swimming with the rays, we suggest not using your feet to aid sw imming. We recommend keeping your feet on the bottom using your mask to view the stingrays. 3) We recommend NOT trying to catch the stingrays on your own without experience. 4) When the stingrays are being held by a tour guide, do not approach the stingray from the rear/back of the stingray. Stingrays have their stingers on TOP of their tails and if not paying attention you could strike your arm or body against the stingers. We recommend staying a safe distance when at the back of a stingray. 5) When feeding the stingrays , we recommend tucking your thumb into the palm of your hand, wrapping the rest of your fingers around the squid. Do not have your thumb or other fingers exposed upward. (The stingray will most likely suck your fingers into it’s mouth). 6) After feeding the stingrays, do not rub your hands on any part of your body. The scent remains on your skin, the stingrays will suck your skin(called quickie-hickeys). That can leave a bruising of your skin and sometimes not the most pleasant.
  • Are these Stingrays aggressive?
    No, after more than 20 years if interacting with these stingrays, they are very docile, passive and friendly. They will NOT attempt to sting you.
  • What happens if I get stung by a stingray?
    As mentioned, these stingrays are not lethal, however IF injured, hot water is applied to the injury(hot water is known to neutralize the venom of these stingrays.). We then get you in to shore as quickly as possible to have your injury treated at a hospital or clinic.. Contact us for any other important questions on this subject or wait till your tour
  • Do stingrays have teeth?
    No, these stingrays do not have teeth. They have hard gums known as grinder plates. If your fingers are suck into their mouth, the stingray with let go of your finger instantly as they know the difference between the food and your fingers.
  • Where do we get to snorkel?
    Our excursions take you optionally to our Barrier Reef or an area of coral patches near the reef known as the Coral Gardens.
  • Are Snorkel Gear provided on tour?
    No, snorkel gear is provided.
  • What if don’t know how to use snorkel equipment?
    No problem, our tour guides will assist anyone with instructions and will even accompany at least one person at a time if necessary.
  • Does Prime Charter cater to Disabled Individuals for Snorkeling?
    A: Unfortunately, not physically disabled; however, please contact us for more details.
  • Are Life Vests provided on tour?
    Of course. Life vests are an essential on our excursions and are provided as necessary
